A RADIO broadcaster in Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur was shot to death around 8pm Tuesday, February 16.
Elvis Ordaniza, who is in his 50s, suffered two bullet wounds in his chest from a cal. 45 handgun, according to a police report on the incident.
Ordaniza was shot while inside his residence, the police said.
Ordaniza, a rebel returnee, is a reporter for radio station dxWO Power99 FM based in Pitogo town.
According to colleagues, Ordaniza has been reporting about the problem of illegal drugs and illegal
gambling in the town.
According to CNN Philippines correspondent Hirohito Cadion, the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Police Office have yet to determine if the killing is related to the upcoming elections in May. | NUJP
